LncRNAs & smORFs in EMT & Cancer

Background

We have long-term interest in understanding mutations and mechanisms breaching the boundaries of the coding and the non-coding parts of the genome and transcriptome. We work on characterising long non-coding RNAs and their role in epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and cancer. Current focus is on RNAs with small open-reading frames (smORFS) encoding micropeptides.
